Wedding Photography by Torie Clarke, Wedding Photographer

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you photograph more than one wedding per day?

Never, I will be with you all day so I only take one booking per day.

Will it be you that photographs our wedding?

Yes, I photograph all my own weddings, I don't send assistants out in my place.

Do you travel to photograph weddings?

Yes. I am based in Cheltenham so cover The Cotswolds, Gloucester, Bath, Bristol, Oxford, Cardiff, Birmingham, etc... I include up to a 100 mile round trip in my daily rate. If your wedding is further away I charge for additional mileage at a reasonable rate. I sometimes ask for B&B accommodation to be provided if it is too far to travel home at the end of the day. If you are getting married abroad I can give you a quote.

Will you shoot film or digital?

I prefer to shoot film as I believe you still get better prints. I can easily get the film scanned for you at a small cost if you hope to email them or put them on a website. If you insist on digital I do have a fantastic digital camera which I could use.

Do you bring spare equipment?

Yes I always carry spare camera bodies, lenses and flashes just in case!

How many pictures will I get?

I provide 6x4 prints of every picture I shoot and I usually use 25-35 rolls of 36 exposure film per wedding. So you get over 700 pictures.

Do you take group shots?

Yes but I try to keep them to a minimum for everyone's benefit. I ask the bride and groom to provide me with a list of group shots and who they want in each shot. I then ask a family member or friend to help me collect people together for the shots. The group pictures take less time if they are organised and everyone can get on and enjoy themselves.

How much do you charge for re-prints and enlargements?

I give you all the negatives to keep. So there won't be any over inflated prices for extra prints. I will give you the name and address of a very good lab where you can get your photos printed beautifully at a normal price.

Will my pictures be colour or black and white?

I usually do a mixture of them both but if you have a preference for one or the other I can easily accommodate that choice.
